Re: [Avid-L2] Applying an effect to more than one clip in a timeline

I'm generally with you on the smart tools and turn them all off.
However, way back in some multi track audio app I used years ago
(might have been pro tools, can't remember) the tools were
'smart,' changing depending on the pointer position in the track.
Once you got the hang of it, it was really handy for a
mouse-based app. Muscle memory got trained and it was really,
really quick. I thought it was pure genius compared to a previous
app I'd used where you had keep clicking buttons to change tools.

If you came from that background to MC, then you can keep working
the way you know. I can see the value in that.

But for me on MC, I've got so much mapped to the keyboard that my
use of the mouse is minimal, so smart tools just get in the way.
Also, with the picture montiors taking up real estate, the tracks
are far smaller than the audio only apps, making hitting the
target area a bigger pain.
