I've read more of the thread, and sorry to say, your problem
seems different from the one I had. My ethernet port acted
completely dead until I changed the "Location," couldn't even
sense the cable was plugged in -- wasn't getting your 'can print'
but 'can't browse' problem!

I bow out here to wiser guys....
