Re: [Avid-L2] Re: can you push on an animatte fx?

3D Warp plus Animatte moves are needlessly painful. I find it's often
better to make a black and white matte using Paint effect, essentially
cutting out the same thing you're cutting out in Animatte, but making it a
solid shape filled with white over a black background. Submaster that (I
can't remember if you have to do this or not) and alt-drag Matte Key effect
on it. Then you have 3D controls in the matte key that you can mirrors from
your original 3D Warp. So, V1 is BG with 3D Warp, V2 is video you were
animatting originally, but with NO effect on it, V3 is your new Paint
Effect matte (you may be able to copy and paste the shape from the
Animatte) nested inside a Submaster effect, nested inside a Matte Key
effect.

...or just use After Effects ;)
