Re: [Avid-L2] USB3 ExpressCard and Macbook Pro 17' 2011

I keep mediafiles on a bunch of bare drives that I move between a "dumb"
(passive, no electronics, just wires) 4-slot eSATA box on one Avid, and a
2-slot USB 3.0 drive dock on another Avid. They both work fine, with data
transfer rates perfectly usable for DNxHD editing.

I like the USB 3.0 dock because it's the closest we have to a
universally-supported interface. Just about every computer made these days
can see it.
