Also:
**Duplicate** the sequence and then, in the duplicate, remove all the video *except* the track with the mixdown, of course (lift it all out or delete the tracks). Even though you are not looking at a file, Media Composer is still referencing it. By deleting the other tracks it will only be looking at your video mixdown. I guess you might as well do the same with your audio too.
See if that does the trick.
