For anyone following this thread...
I bought the Disksomnia app yesterday and it seems to work great.
I really like that:
- it allows for customization of which drives to affect.
- it allows for customization of what apps will trigger it.
Note to anyone who buys it:
The download for Mac is missing the file extension.
So, just add .dmg and it will work fine.
