Re: [Avid-L2] Media Composer Version for Isis?

For *qualified *systems, it depends on which ISIS version you have. ISIS
5000 3.0 (first release) was approved for MC 4.05 or higher. It is
currently on version 4.0 and MC 5.5 or higher is qualified for it. ISIS
7000 2.0 was approved for MC 3.5. It is now on version 4.0 like ISIS 5K.
I don't see why ISIS would not work with earlier versions of MC.

Unity to ISIS migration is very easy. Connect a client via fiber to
Unity and ethernet to ISIS. Avid provides a software that automates the
entire workspace migration. It takes about 1.5 hour per 1TB. If you dual
ethernet connect to your ISIS it can be faster, down to 1 hour or less
if I remember correctly.

I love ISIS. I think it is the best SAN for video out there.

I tried to look at the medianet to isis migration pdf on the Avid site but it just opens a blank page when I click on it. Can someone point me to the media composer version requirements for ISIS? We have a lot of mc V3.1.x systems. Would those really need to be upgraded for ISIS?
