P.S.: happened at the very same time that MC got the PT surround panners, just after MC got the PT-style Mute and Solo, and at the same time when Pro Tools got MC-style Clip-Based Gain. To me it seems a normalization of nomenclature throughout the product line. Add to that that Markers may be a more common way to describe how they look and how you use them.
