[Avid-L2] Re: Ki Pro Mini experiences?

 

Do you have a monitor that will sense the signal and display it's flavor. Those are the only ways to check the signal with a scope or a monitor. I've at times jury rigged an old composite waveform to look at the Tri Level sync and I can see the difference between Psf and I by the number of broad pulses. 5 wide is Psf, 10 Narrow is interlace and for true P would be 5 wide at half the vertical rate. All the tape formats I use are Psf so I don't know if they would even handle a true P signal. I assume the SRW-5500 does because it has a progressive setting in the system menu IIRC I've just never used it. Perhaps someone with true P experience can enlighten us.
