[Avid-L2] MC/Sym 6 desktop image display is sub-par

[Rant on]

I tend to work a lot on systems without externally connected monitors. I've also worked in broadcast bays, where the connected video monitor is about as bad as one can imagine. It's time that Avid comes up with a UI overlay that works for this century. The following applies to Mac as I haven't tested the same on Windows versions.

1. Images displayed are not adjusted for monitor color space and look washed out.
2. Images display noticeable tearing during playback. This is a refresh/sync issue, which was briefly fixed in MC5 and then broke again in MC6.
3. The full screen display shows tearing and does not show an expanded luma range. Again, this was broken with MC6.

The exact same system will properly display images without these issues on other applications - FCP7, FCPX, PPro, Resolve, SpeedGrade, Color, etc.

Issues like these make using Avid software a less-than-pleasant experience.
