Along those lines, years ago I used to have a few watch folders set up
on a cross-platform NAS that fed some cleaner XL jobs. Sending short
(:30) source files to one of these folders was usually ok - the file
would finish copying / transferring before processing began - but longer
spots / programs would sometimes result in an error because cleaner
would attempt to transfer the source file to the "in progress" job
folder while it was still copying from the edit system to the NAS.
