Yes, I'm doing a straight import as DNX145 and its taking a very long time. Thanks for the suggestion I'll try AMA and transcode.

Are you just doing a straight import? If you are, try AMA then
consolidate/transcode. I don't believe the regular import takes advantage
of multiple processors whereas AMA is newer code and does.
