Re: [Avid-L2] PhraseFind Will Not Install

PhraseFind is no longer a separate install, so my guess is that you are trying to install your old PhraseFind installer, which will be searching for the Avid editor application in the 32-bit applications folder.

PhraseFind should be installed after you run the v6 installer. To activate it, launch Avid License Control.

If you did not deactivate your PhraseFind prior to installing v6, Avid License Control _should_ see the old activation code and allow you to activate. This will generate a new code, as the licensing numbers changed from 5-digit 'words' to 4-digit 'words' so you cannot directly enter your old code into the new License Control.

If you DID (like I did) first deactivate PhraseFind, you need to contact Avid to exhange your old PF code for a new one. Also, if (like for me) having an active PhraseFind serial does NOT generate a new activation, you need to contact Avid to exchange your old PF code for a new one.

Many thanks to Avid for changing the way this works on every version released in the past year.
