Can you look at them with the Sony viewer? If you can, the viewer software
may be able to rebuild the file structure. If not, they need to be sent
again with the full file structure.

Subject: [Avid-L2] EX1 codec and file structure
So, some kid sent me the mp4 files pulled out of the Sony file structure
from an EX1.
I've got the Sony reader/viewer installed and the Avid AMA Sony 64bit codec
installed.
I can't see anything on the MP4 files (they're black, but show running
times) and I can't use AMA to see them in Avid. I also can't see them in
FCP.
Seems that when I did a recent shoot with a Sony F3, I kept all of the files
in the prescribed Sony file order. Correct?
Am I missing something here, or does this kid need to resend all this crap
to me still in the folders they came in?
Any way to view the MP4s divorced from their folders?
I am not brave enough for this brave new world.
