[Avid-L2] Re: MC 6.0.1. Flamethower errors

 

Hi Mike,

from my experience capture from FireWire devices works much better / at all if the input switch on the deck / camera is NOT set to FireWire (DV or HDV)! It seems to create a loop and this causes problems. This workaround helped me in many situations with both Avid and "the other NLE" systems.. :-)

If there's no DNA Device is attached, the error message is misleading, because Flamethrower is the driver that connects the DNA hardware to the Avid system..
