[Avid-L2] MC 6.0.1. Flamethower errors

 

A client of mine (against our recommendation) had a "friend" build him a win7 64 computer to run MC6 on. The system seems to be an OK build but MC locks up and reports flamethrower errors whenever he has his DV Cam deck connected via firewire. The system only has one firewire bus in the form of a Sonnett FW 400 PCI express card. Any ideas what can be causing the problem?
