Just started a doc that requires importing archival SD source material coming from both Hi8 and S-VHS -- as Y/C.
Using a BMD Analog to SDI Converter, I am predictably losing audio sync every time the video signal become unstable. And the loss of sync is cumulative on long clips -- requiring hundreds of painful eye-match sync fixes.
Fortunately, the video sources are playing back just fine on an analog monitor -- so I know the video is very salvageable. It just needs to be stabalized.
Anyone know of an inexpensive Y/C Frame Synchronizer or TBC that accepts Y/C -- and outputs either Y/C or SDI?
Thanks.
