I have a Wacom too and use a Griffin Powermate for scrolling the timeline and it works great. Stylus in my right hand and the Powermate in my left. Although older, they do work on Snow Leopard and Lion with a simple download of an updated application. You can pick one up on eBay fairly cheap. My Wacom also has a scroll wheel on it and although I can't get it set up to scroll I did program it to jump 10 frames forward or back in effect giving me some type of scroll with it.
