Re: [Avid-L2] timeline scrolling (was Re: Symph upgrade came!)

Here's something you might try: the Apple "Magic" trackpad. I tried to
use it for editing based on some others' comments on the -L a while
back.. But it was a bit hit & miss so I have gone back to the good old
mouse.

But the trackpad works great for scrolling the timeline, and it works in
both Avid and FCP 7. I have it sitting to the right of my mouse, and it
is easy to take my right hand off of the mouse and give a quick swipe of
the track pad to reposition the timeline then go back to the mouse. It
works great, eliminates having to select Mr. Hand to do it in FCP 7, and
makes up for the lack of hand tool/tilmeline functionality in the Avid.
