If you want, to aid the muscle memory, just remap the most important FCP keys to the Avid keyboard.
As a survey, for those who actually used keyboard-based editing on FCP, which FCP keys did you most often use?
For me, this would be (in very rough order of importance/frequency):
JKLIO obviously for playing, scrubbing, marking in and out points
Delete and Shift-delete for lifting and extract
Function 9 and 10 for insert and overwrite
X=Mark Clip
shift-z to see entire timeline
command plus and minus to zoom
A=Arrow Tool
P=Pen Tool
M=marker
B=Razor Blade Tool
F=Match Frame or Find Frame
E=Extend edit
All of these obviously have Avid equivalents and can be mapped to the same spots except delete and shift-delete. Personally, when switching back to Avid from FCP, delete and shift-delete are my biggest stumbling points for muscle memory. Also command-plus and minus for zooming instead of command brackets and command-/ instead of shift-z for showing the full timeline, though those three could be remapped.
