Speaking of xw8400, mine have a lousy 3 gig of RAM.
What can i expect on Avid / AE render speed performance if i upgrade that?
Bouke (whoms firsts NLE had a whopping 16 Mb ram...)

Folks, your suggestions of installing the 276.28 drivers and changing the
GPU settings file worked like a charm. Thanks so very much.

Haven't used MC in that config but I am using Symphony in that config.
Did you update the Nvidia driver with Avid's version? It is in the Avid
folder that installed on your computer. (Though Avid usually throws a
warning dialog box on startup if the wrong driver is installed.
I was getting similar issue on a 8400 with a FX1500 card. At first it
wouldn't play video in the record window, only out the NitrisDX. Then I
upgraded to the Avid drivers and hit the wall you are hitting. Replacing
with an FX3500 and using Avid's drivers fixed everything.
