I figured it out. The sequence has mixed resolutions, hence the pink highlight. Thanks MediaComposer Help. Unfortunately, there's no way to modify or turn this feature off.

Subject: [Avid-L2] Unwanted Bin Highlight
Lister's
I'm working in MC 5.03. Using Interplay & ISIS. Why do my sequences get hi-lighted (not selected)in the bin randomly? (Not Edit>Set Clip Color) I'd look it up, but I'm not even sure I know how to ask the question. I'm prepared to be publicly humiliated for not knowing the answer to this after nearly 20 years of cutting on Avid.
Thanks
Mick
