Guys, thanks so much for the tips, vari-fi was just what he needed and i scored some major brownie points too as he's also the director of the company! In case anyone else needs to know where to find the bundle it can be found on the Avid website, here;

It installed perfectly in our 4.0.5 symph DX and on a 5.5 too.
