[Avid-L2] Re: Where do I find the current versioner.avd file?

Thanks for pointing that out. I missed the "or earlier" part and got worried. Now just to be very pedestrian and repetitious when I read:

"If your system is covered by support then you would download the Flexversioner file located within the editing app folder. Flexversioner if for 6/10 and higher whereas versioner is for 5.5/9.5 and lower."

My understanding is you can no longer buy a 5.5 upgrade but only a 6.x upgrade so anyone upgrading now would use the flexversioner file right? And that would still work for previous versions.
Is it true that the versioner and flex versioner only cover dongles that are under an active support contract? If this is true then the rest of us must use the updater file we are sent which is just for our dongle. I was under the impression that those versioner files contained information about every dongle out there not just those under active support but it sounds like I'm wrong about that.
