Thank you for the several suggestions to help me capture this tape. Still no
success:
1. I am capturing to an internal hard drive used only to capture. I tried
also an external e-SATA drive.
2. I am trying to capture using the same camera used to record the video.
3. I tried launching after loading the tape and placing in pause mode.
4. I tried 10 seconds of pre-roll.
5. I tried turning off the TC track. When doing this the red ball record
button flashed like it was recording but there was no image in the composer
window and no apparent file in a bin when I hit the record button again to
stop.
6. There are gliches in the playback. I will track down a head-cleaning tape
tomorrow and try that.
I am getting a new error message to add to the other 3: Exception: Audio/video
is unexpectly no longer coming into the sytem.
Happy to receive any other suggestions! I'll try cleaning the heads. Thanks
for the help. David.
