[Avid-L2] Imac i5 vs i7

 

Anyone with any experience running MC 6 on 27" iMac?

The i7s are officially blessed but the i5s are mentioned only with the
21.5"iMac.

Any opinions on the performance hit between i5 vs i7?

I am considering one for a project consisting of DNX220 at 23.987 fps
(which makes it more like DNX185.) Enough horsepower for a more or less
single layer edit?

Thanks for any opinions (and I realize that operating outside the
officially blessed systems carries some risk.)
