[Avid-L2] HP LTO-5 Ultrium 3000 SAS ext tape drive on a Mac?

 

Anyone out there using this tape drive on a Mac with Retrospect or HP's StoreOpen Standalone to archive media?

It looks like this might be crazy enough to work, based on some initial research on HP and Retrospect's websites last night. I need a budget friendly backup solution for my post facility mucho pronto.
