[Avid-L2] cannot open file

 

Been trying to import stills into an MC 5.5 project all morning. Keep getting "Exception:Cannot open file". Get this dragging to bin and using import. Files are scanned photos, RGB saved as .jpegs. I have no idea why they wont come in. Most are only 3 or 4 MB in size. I took one into photoshop and saved as .psd but still no go.

Any ideas what is the problem?
