well, you press the power button.
Then, find the icon of the application you want to start. It's either on the
desktop, in the taskbar or an executable (.app in mac lingo) on your
harddisk.
In the top is a menu. On the left, pull it down and you find 'open / save'
etc. (of course Avid is a bit different)
Next to is 'copy/paste', but you can also use the keyboard. Try the Control
C and Control V shortcuts, or even Control X...
Further 'need to know' stuff:
To open the CD/DVD tray, press the button on the drive. Or, totally hip, you
can choose 'eject disc' when you right click on it.
Power down can be done with the power button on the CPU, or trough the menu,
or by pulling the power.
It's easy as that. Try it, you'll love it! (especially ejecting the CD / DVD
part!)

Subject: [Avid-L2] PC for Mac users
Hi List,
After 20 years with Avid and FCP on Macs, I'm facing the possibility of
converting to PCs for reasons everyone here knows. Since I cut FCP out of
my life a little while ago, I can be OS agnostic.
My problem is that I (and all of my colleagues) know NOTHING about PCs or
Windows. We're clueless. I haven't used a PC since the days of "copy a:
b:" I have no religious devotion to Apple; it's simply what I know.
But now I may have to dip my foot in PC waters and I don't know where to
start. Does anyone know of a book, web article or training video for people
like me? I don't mean a "computers for idiots" type of guide. Something
for people who know the Mac platform well and want to draw on that
knowledge as they learn Windows.
I've tried Googling for this and haven't had much luck.
Maybe I should try Bing.
