Besides a HUGE cost difference, the panel qualification is higher for BVMs, in other words a panel with more errors can land in a PVM than in a BVM.
BVM has no frame delay when using higher quality frame interpolation on interlaced footage.
You can buy upgrade options on a BVM (Via cards) which you can't on a PVM.
BVM does 12 bit processing, PVM is only 10.
