[Avid-L2] Re: Biscardi makes his decision

 

I've told every freelancer who asks me to learn both Premiere Pro and Avid right now. Those are the dominant tools that we're seeing down here in Atlanta and to be a viable freelancer, you should be able to at least operate in both worlds.

There's really no reason not to be able to at least be familiar with both since they can run interchangeably now on the same system. I love the dynamic linking / ease of movement across the suite of Adobe and the rock solid architecture / performance that is Avid. So we run both here.

I expect that in the next few years Adobe will really get much more solid with their core architecture for Premiere which will bring solid, efficient editing workflow to the already dynamic interchanging between the apps.
