This sounds a bit like dealing with the high resolution of HD and seeing all the actors' pores and wrinkles.
My guess is that higher frame rates will ultimately prevail and that filters in post will bring back some of the desired, less-precise (dream-like/other-worldly/cinematic) qualities of 24fps.
