Re: [Avid-L2] Stupid black again

So people like the idea of inserting nothing and while doing so delete half
a timeline?
I've worked with Premiere, Edius, M100, M100 844, FCP and a few others i've
forgot,
but Avid is a main pain in the ass in this department. (granted, M100 wasn't
that good on complex stuff...)
AE has an adjustment layer if you want to apply an effect on underlying
tracks. That makes sense.
Everything black makes no sense. It used to be on a striped tape in 'some
way', but never in film. Did you start with a black piece of film to cut in
your shots?
(as it was intended, but in black on sound to stay sync, yeah, as if people
liked that...).
And don't get me started on the "select from here" function, that only
worked properly in M100.

Now i need to apply an effect to 900 randomly placed clips on a high track,
seperated by black. Please tell me how to do so...
