Re: [Avid-L2] Seasonal Buffer

A Wrong format error often refers to the first clip in the sequence ... maybe temporarily add 5 frames of a title (black) in the format that you want at the head. Or set the timeline clip info to show clip resolutions and track down the rogue clip and transcode it? You can search the TL text.

However, I had the same problem with it. I'm wondering if there is a bad clip in the mix (I have about 6 bins of clips) as well as the RAM using all its power and needing more. Before I downgraded to 5.5.3 I exported a same as source quick time of the time line and imported that into a new project in MC5.5.3. I'll cut a few changes on top of that and then keep going. It seemed like the quickest and least frustrating solution at the moment.

I do have one effect that is seven layers and I'm maxed out on RAM for this MBP at 4GB. If I can get to a point where I can export a quick time of what I have so far, I can roll back to 5.5.3 until I upgrade to a new MBP.

A Springbuffer error is usually a failed attempt to play back video in real time (IIRC the Springbuffer is a RAM area that gets filled with pre-composited video as the playback proceeds). Seems a bit odd that you see it when you attempt to render.

Lately whenever I go to render or collapse or uncollapse part of the timeline I get a "SpringTime Buffer" error message. I've rebooted, I've created a new project, duplicated the timeline in the new project, tried new settings. Has anyone else experienced this? Right now I'm trying to finish a project so I'm locked into 6.0.1 and can't roll back to 5.5.3. Any suggestions?
