Even with a PC you can still only have 3 Pro Tools Accel cards in a Z800. If I were you I'd stick with Mac and trade up to the HDX card range. One HDX card is the equivalent processing power of 5 Accel cards. Then you can put a Blackmagic card in the machine and play HD Quicktimes from the timeline.
Video Satellite is fantastic if you have
a) An all Avid workflow
b) Shared storage
c) Deep pockets

We bought the expansion boxes a few years back. But I only did it because the mixers wouldn't go PC. It is much more economical to buy a PC with a lot of slots than to buy a Mac AND an expansion chassis.
