the setting I'm thinking of is this one ;

If it were this setting that was the problem I believe the symtom
would be that video in the Avid Windows would play back when the
windows were on one of the 2 monitors (the primary monitor) but not
when the Avid window was on the other monitor. Have you moved your
Avid window over to the other monitor and video doesn't play there
either ?
