When AvidFX says it's disabling OpenGL, it just means that it's
disabling the OpenGL accelerated previews in the AvidFX Comp window.
AvidFX will not try to change the OpenGL settings of your system
(NVIDIA settings, etc.) and I wouldn't expect that to have any effect
on ordinary video playback in MC or Symphony... So, you're saying even
source clips (with no kind of effect applied etc.) are appearing black
during playback ? If the problem is persisting I would suggest doing a
reboot of the machine if you haven't already.

I'm guessing this has something to do with the Disabled OpenGL. How do I turn this back on and how is this affecting Avid FX?

Things are not as they appear.
Nor are they otherwise.
