MC6 worked fine for one video level. With two levels and the Matrox2LE hooked up there is often a slight delay between mouse clicking and program reaction or play and reaction. I also had some weird happenings that I'm not sure if it was from the Matrox or MC6. If you don't need to upgrade at the moment, stay with 5.5.3. Although, there are a few nice things about MC6 that I like and it doesn't crash every third time I go to open it but 5.5.3 works better on the MBP 2.8GHz.
