RE: [Avid-L2] ARRI Alexa DNxHD support now available!

I asked the Arri rep this at BVE and it's definitely OP1a, although the topic of creating pure Avid OPAtom media came up and all we got was a coy "we're listening to our customers" response, so you never know!

There is a DNxHD QT codec, but MXF is a different cookie.

From what I heard and read, Alexa writes OP1a MXF in DNxHD. To use in MC, you need to AMA-link to the files, then consolidate them if you want them in an Avid MediaFiles folder.

From what I understand, you cannot simply toss these MXF files straight fromt the Alexa into the Avid MediaFiles folder. It requires AMA-linking (and the related plugin needs to be installed).
