[Avid-L2] Re: Standards

 

Well the good news is that the move now is towards slates that contain almost no information.
In fact including technical info like the standard would now be a fail.
Broadcasters no longer want the extra work of reclocking when they convert the content and they don't want a clock that would be wrong on say a down converted SD copy of an HD master.
So clocks now have little info.

And my best fail was a report back that one scene of a clouds shot when jogged. Backwards slowly in reverse showed a slight luma shift between fields. Fine in normal forward play.
A discussion on the stupidity of failing it when it was fine when played. Ensured we had to fix it and then endure months of hawk eyed QC to be sure of no further bounces!
