On the shows I've been delivering a file based version along with tape I have included bars tone and slate and 10 seconds of black at the end of the file. These are shows not spots. The thought of sending out a show file with no bars and tone is really asking for trouble. I just can't see judging proper content workflow path without checking signal integrity using a reference signal. Don't get me started on file based over tape for delivery but I gotta go with the flow, work flow that is, not flow that content management software I've seen at NAB. Heck is Flow still out there?
