Problem resolved. Didn't mix down tracks. Usually I haven't had to mix down tracks but that seemed to fix the problem and Avid is making the QTR now.

Looks like you are trying to do a QT ref that would have to create new media in your custom H.264. A QT reference will point to the media in your project thus the term "reference". It doesn't seem likely that your avid project media is Custom H.264 1080P RGB. I'm not sure if Avid will let you do that but if it does then it's going to have to create new media that is H.264 1080P RGB so the QT ref can reference. As I understand it a QT ref can only have one codec so all the media in your project has to be basically the same in order to make a QT ref. I usually use a QT ref to take to into sorenson to save the time of a self contained export and also to maintain multiple audio tracks. As I check my mac sndx 4.0.5 the options for a QT ref do not have any way to specify a different codec so perhaps there is something different in V6 that you are using or you aren't really exporting a QT ref. Be curious to know what is going on.
