I have seen the opposite behavior on our machines. We have a few FCP/Avid
dual boots. Logging out of the FCP side and going to the Avid side leaves
the drives mounted, despite the fact that each partition has it's own
"user" based on the machine name associated with that drive.

We have never had any type of manual login for the Terrablock. Our users
were created by launching the connected machine for the first time, finding
the user on the server side and assigning permissions. After that, it has
been automatic.

I believe all of the associations are based on the machine name and not
necessarily a user. I have never seen an option to deal with it any other
way but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
