It definitely works.
Double click on the Workspace View in the Settings List that you want to link.
A dialog comes up to say "Workspace View Setting - (name of workspace)"
Then there is a button for "none" and a button for "Link to Named Settings"
If you click the second button, you can type the specific name of a setting in the text area below it. In previous versions of MC you had to match the name of the timeline view (or keyboard setting or whatever) to the exact name of the workspace. Now you can use any name to link to, unless you want multiple settings like linking a keyboard setting and a timeline view. Then those two settings need to be named the same, but don't have to be the same name as the workspace itself.
