I find editing with the keyboard much faster. I try to keep the number of things I have mapped to buttons in UI at a minimum.
When I notice interns and asst. editors using the mouse to much, I've suggested that they turn off all the button rows in the UI for a little bit to force them to use just the keyboard. And try to get them to use the shortcuts as well.
I find if I use the mouse to much, I really notice it in my arm and shoulder at the end of the day.
