I need a little help slipping sync-
I'm adding 2 alternate tracks to an 8-channel mix - before outputting 10 tracks to SR tape. But the new tracks are about a 1/4 frame out of sync - so I've tried to use 'perf slip' to adjust, but the error message insists the source material 'only has one perf per frame.'
Why is this so unnecessarily difficult? I've tried altering the film type with 'modify clip' as well as creating a separate project using a 4-perf film base. When I attempt to slip sync in the auto-sync sub-clip I've made for the purpose of slipping sync, I just get the 'ping' of the system error sound (like when you hit a bad keystroke) and no message - and the sync is not altered.
Anyone know a way around this annoying shortcoming in media composer? There has to be an 'old assistant's trick' I never learned. In truth, the slight sync error will probably be fine and pass QC, but why should it have to?
Thanks in advance for an tips ~
