[Avid-L2] Re: Center Duration 1 fame 1 frame longer duration than time code calculator?

 

one way to think is that the timecode point is the bit 'between' the frames. So 01.00.00.00 is the bit after black and before first frame and if you want a 1 frame edit your out point has to be the timecode between the first and 2nd frame (i.e. 01.00.00.01).

Avid lets you mark a single frame with an in and an out... other systems require you to roll onto the 2nd frame to mark the out and have a 1 frame duration.
