[Avid-L2] FR: Analyze file in Project Launch WIndow

I would love to be able to point MC6 to a video file when I'm creating a new project and have MC6 automatically set the project specs based on the file.

I need to do a trailer based on a QT on a hard drive. Why should I have to find an app to analyze the frame rate, aspect, size, color space? Why not tell Avid "I want to create a new project to work with THIS file or folder of files (P2 card, CF card, XDCAM card, RED)"

I mean there are certainly times when you want to force a project structure onto a project without regard to the file types that will be its source, but sometimes you just want to go with the flow. Have Avid tell you what the best project type would be. Or maybe a small separate analysis program that would create a file you could either look at or import to create the project specs.

Or am I just being lazy?
