Reliable Timecode with Options
You can rely on HyperDeck Studio to capture with frame accurate timecode. Enjoy the ultimate in flexibility with real time code options virtually the same as you remember from broadcast decks! You get support for preset timecode, regenerate timecode from the last recorded clip or SDI timecode, all set via the included HyperDeck Utility. HyperDeck Studio even includes capture of metadata for integration with NLE editing software.

I don't see how you get timecode in or out - maybe embedded - but I'm
going to order one just to play with. The 'Studio' ($995) has a serial
control port, so it's probable you can strip timecode out of that they
way we used to with the old Hi-8 Decks (Horita RLT-50)

Now you could use a stack of hyperdeck shuttles.
"Blackmagic Design today released a new version of its popular
HyperDeck Shuttle Solid State Disk recorder. HyperDeck Shuttle 2
replaces the existing model and adds broadcast quality 10-bit recording
and playback to the Avid DNxHD format for the same low price of $345. "
