Re: [Avid-L2] Media Archiving. LTO?

We just got our Tandberg Storage Library 40+ but no workflow established so far. We are still looking into different possibilities since it has to serve two purposes: delivery of source-material (tapeless data formerly known as camera-tapes) to co-producers and local backup for own productions.

So basically we need the Library to spit out single tapes or a bunch of them for a project that has to readable by the recipient. Currently we are going the LTFS-road with this one.
For our internal needs we are looking into Bru.

However: the biggest draw-back on any archive software is the reliability in conjunction with the question: can we still read the data in decades from now?
